Why is it considered insane to have an invisible friend, but perfectly okay if the invisible friend’s name is Jesus? Just because a person claims to be speaking with a god, that doesn’t make it any more logical. He or she is still talking to an invisible friend – a thing that doesn’t exist. Then they teach their children to talk to the same invisible people. So what’s the difference if I talk to Jesus, God, Virgin Mary, angels, Muhammad, or Quacko the 10-foot invisible duck. It’s even worse when people claim to have heard a god speak back to them.
